The Moon
The Moon is card 18 of the Major Arcana, the card of dreams and uncertainty. Readers traditionally take it as intuition, imagination and the fears and illusions that come out when things are not fully lit.

Upright
Moonlight shows shapes without detail, and readers take the card the same way. It is read as a time when things are unclear: imagination running strong, dreams vivid, fears louder than facts. Its advice is usually to trust instinct while being careful about what you assume.
Reversed
Confusion lifting is the common reading reversed. Readers see fears easing, a misunderstanding clearing up, or a truth coming to the surface. Some also take it as anxiety that needs a plain look in daylight.
In love and at work
Feelings that are hard to read come up when it is drawn about love, along with a need for honesty or a strong intuitive bond. For work, it is linked with creative and imaginative fields, and with situations where facts should be checked.
In the picture
A full moon with a face sits over a landscape at night, dropping small drops of light. A dog and a wolf howl at it from either side of a path, and a crayfish crawls out of a pool in the foreground. Two towers stand in the distance. The Golden Dawn assigned the card to Pisces.
